Fire Island, home to more than 1.2 Million residents and visitors, is nestled between the wide expanses of the Atlantic Ocean and the gentle and serene Great South Bay on Long Island’s south shore.

Fire Island is visited by thousands of "day trippers" who travel by private boats.

Fire Island Water Taxi's shuttle over 300,000 riders back and forth between the various Fire Island Communities.  

Fire Island's 17 communities are serviced daily by over a dozen ferry’s and five water taxi’s throughout the Spring, Summer, and Fall.

The communities of Cherry Grove and The Pines are home to the large LGBTQ community who frequent Fire Island each season.
